I am Andrea Malvestiti, an emerging sculptor based in Milan, Italy. Born in 1970, I work primarily with steel and iron, creating unique sculptural pieces through welding and forging techniques. My artistic research is rooted in a dialogue between dystopian imagination, Expressionist intensity, and Futurist dynamism.

I studied at the Art High School and later at the European Institute of Design (IED) in Milan, where I developed the foundations of my visual language. My work is influenced by Expressionist and Brutalist aesthetics, as well as by the raw power of industrial materials and the emotional depth they can convey.

For me, sculpture is first and foremost an act of individual expression. The physical process of cutting, forging, welding, and shaping metal allows me to transform inner experiences into tangible forms. Each work emerges as a unique object, carrying its own presence, atmosphere, and narrative.

Although I am at the beginning of my professional journey as an exhibiting artist, several of my works have already found homes in private collections. I continue to develop my practice through an ongoing exploration of form, material, and emotion, seeking to create sculptures that invite contemplation while reflecting the challenges, uncertainties, and possibilities of the contemporary world.

Based in Milan, I am committed to building a body of work that bridges industrial matter and human experience, giving shape to emotions that often remain unspoken.
